The Reunion Challenge: City Quest Harvard Square 2004

On Saturday morning, June 12, from 9:30am-Noon, we promise to CURE your HANGOVER or your JET LAG with the HARVARD SQUARE CITY QUEST...

Yes, it's True!
(and the free bagels and coffee are just the beginning!)

Here's the what, who, where, when, and why:

What: With a set of clues in hand, you will set off on a free treasure hunt that will challenge your mind, kickstart your memory, and give you a fun way to make new connections with old classmates and old haunts.

Who: Individuals and groups, friends and family, are all welcome; teams of 5-8 will be formed at the beginning of the hunt. To sign up early (which also gives you the option of forming your own team)write to JohnThompson_89@cityquest.org

Where: Meet at Sever 113 for coffee, bagels, team sign-up and the handing out of clues. The hunt will take place in and around Harvard Square: from the dim stacks of Widener to the lurid walls of the Hong Kong...from the serene arches of the Fogg to the jumble of magazines at Out of Town News...through Harvard Yard and Harvard Square, down into house tunnels, up to Radcliffe and across the river...

When: if you haven’t already figured out the answer to this one, this may not be for you.

Why: you know, fun, enticing former classmates, a city seen afresh, the sweet buzz of showing off, etc, etc.

You can take it at walking pace and stroll through a few enticing clues, or go full out and try to sprint through the entire Quest. Either way, we promise to get both your mind and legs in motion, and make sure you get at least a little exercise reunion weekend.

And whether this is your first time back at Harvard since graduation or you’ve been in the Square every day for the last 15 years, we promise you a morning that will make you see Harvard in an entirely new way (with just a hint of nostalgia) as well as giving you a lively way to reconnect with old classmates.

Afterwards, we’ll gather at the fieldhouse for answers, and the awarding of a gloriously goofy prize to the team that solves the most clues.

Again, this event is free. The organizers are Gordon Strause '89 and John Thompson '89. If you have questions, or want to sign up early, write to JohnThompson_89@cityquest.org
