Mike Bonin, who last year won an Award of Excellence from the Greater Los Angeles Press Club for his coverage of South Central Los Angeles for the Wave Newspapers, has joined the staff of Los Angeles City Councilwoman Ruth Galanter.  Mike will work on legislative issues for Galanter, who represents his neighborhood of Venice.  He'd love to hear from classmates at "mbonzo@aol.com".

George Kent writes, "I'm working at the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw, Poland, covering trade and environmental issues out of the economics section, and conducting Harvard admission interviews for Polish applicants.  On May 18, 1996 I married Velida Kitaina of Tashkent, Uzbekistan (my first foreign service posting) in Memorial Church.  Members of the wedding party included classmates Doug Brockett and Martha Moore-Keish; Rey (Chen) Brockett and Mihail Lari also attended.  email at: 100714.2553@compuserve.com; any classmates passing through Poland please give me a call: (48-22) 42-08-95."

Married:  David K.F. Gillis '89 to Edward J. Finley II on October 12, 1996 at Trinity Episcopal Church in San Francisco.  David Carney '89 was the best man.  Other classmates who celebrated the union included Deb Dubin, Laurie Gardner, Teresa Lopes, Ryan McNally (who introduced the couple to one another four years ago), Annie Penn, and Stephen Thau.  David and Ed live in San Francisco where they practice law.  The wedding and the preparations leading up to it were filmed by ABC News and were featured on the ABC television news show "Turning Point" which aired on November 7, 1996 at 10:00 PM.

Eli Attie writes, "This August, after over two years on Capitol Hill as chief speechwriter to House Democratic Leader Richard A. Gephardt, I moved to the White House, in the newly-created post of Special Assistant to the President for Communications."

Married:  Adrienne Su to Darrach Dolan at the Madison Club in NYC.  The guests had a wonderful time -- overeating, over-drinking and dancing traditional Irish dances.  Attending the ceremony were fellow classmates Akiyu Hatano, Allison Jernow, David Hsu, Joe Song, and Jill Goodwin.  Alli is finishing her last year at NYU Law School and is busy defending the rights of a Muslim prisoner who was denied the right to pray in jail.  Dave and his wife, Tina, are expecting their second child in January 1997, and are hoping that their new house will be ready before the baby arrives.  Joe Song is completing his residency in radiology, and spends his free time mountain biking and rollerblading through the streets of San Francisco.  Jill Goodwin is a Project Architect at the multi-disciplinary, historic preservation firm of John Milner Associates located in West Chester Pennsylvania.  She writes, "In addition to the traditional architectural work of designing buildings, I get to travel all over the country, rappel down office buildings, visit caves filled with bats, lead discussion groups, and write guidelines telling people how to design additions to their houses."
